Undoubtedly, steering system is of the important parts of the vehicle as they help in moving the vehicle on the direction of the vehicle driver. Steering cross along with the steering rod are connected to the steering wheel through a u joint coupling or universal joint cross. It helps in two way movements of the rod when the steering wheel is rotated left or right.

With the steering rod attached to the steering joint, as the steering wheel/ column is rotated left or right, the steering rod moves in circular motion with the help of the steering cross joint.

A typical steering cross assembly looks like this with a uj cross in the center for four way movement around the joint.

Steering worm is a thread screw-like cylindrical device with fully rotational capability. As the steering wheel rotates, the steering column moves the steering worm up and down and along with it, it also moves the steering parts attached to it. Steering system transmits the left right rotation of the steering wheel by the truck driver to the steering worm, which in turn moves the part attached to the steering worm bolt. 

The steering wheel connects to a shaft, which rotates the worm inside of the steering worm block. Instead of twisting further into the block, the worm gear is fixed so that when it rotates, it moves the block, which transmits the motion through the gear to the Pitman arm, causing the roadwheels to turn.

As the name suggests, gearbox top cover assembly is used to cover the top of the gearbox. It is also called Gear Tapa assembly. 

For LCV vehicles, like ACE, it is one of the fast moving gear box parts. Made of metal, it sits on the top of the gearbox and with the four screws, it is fixed so that it doesn’t move. Some other Gear TAPA parts we have are kits, bolts, etc.

Gear lever/ shifter is also known as Gear Selector in an automatic transmission vehicle. In a manual transmission truck, it is called Gear Lever or Gear Shifter. Gear Lever or selector is an important part of the gear system of the vehicle as it facilitates movement of trucks gears up or down depending on the speed of the vehicle.
